Achievers - Well done!

What Class 7 have been doing this week:
| Extenal Art |
|
|
The children have been very industrious, painting the panels for the external walls. Transferring the designs from paper to 120cmX60cm boards proved more difficult than expected! They worked in groups of three and used a grid method to enlarge their drawings. Do look at all the photographs in the class Gallery.

Dance, dance, dance......
We have had two dancing visitors during arts fortnight. Week 1 saw us having a go at Street Dance and week 2, Jazz Dance. It was great fun and we even managed to get a bit of a routine going!

|
Dydh da! Hello!
We have been trying to get our tongues round some of the Cornish language!
Try "Piw os ta?'. Who are you? Or.....Ple'th os ta trigys? Where do you live?
Very difficult, but not impossible we think!
The children have also been learning about tin mining in Cornwall. They have been trying to imagine what it would have been like to have been a child working down in the mines. Do ask them about it.

The End of an Era! |
|
|
After 13 years Mr. E is leaving us! He says he is going to retire.....but there's plenty of life in the old dog yet, perhaps a novel?
He is loved by staff and pupils and will be greatly missed. Particularly his wicked sense of humour!
We wish him all joy in his new venture.

PE: PE kits are needed in school please. We will always have a PE lesson on a Wednesday and Friday. |
